The 4K Crystal UHD resolution ensures that every detail is rendered with stunning clarity, while HDR capabilities deliver vibrant colors and deep contrasts, making it ideal for watching movies, sports, and gaming.
One of the standout features of the DU9000 Series is the Object Tracking Sound Lite technology. This innovative audio system uses multiple speakers strategically placed around the television to create a three-dimensional sound experience. As action moves across the screen, the sound follows, providing a more engaging experience that draws you into the content. Coupled with Motion Xcelerator technology, which enhances motion clarity at 120Hz, this TV is particularly suited for fast-paced action scenes, making it a great choice for sports enthusiasts and gamers alike.
Additional features like the Supersize Picture Enhancer and Mega Contrast further elevate the viewing experience. The Supersize Picture Enhancer optimizes the picture quality, ensuring that even non-4K content looks impressive on the large screen. Meanwhile, Mega Contrast enhances the depth of the blacks and brightness of the whites, providing a more dynamic range that is particularly noticeable in darker scenes.

Design and Build Quality: A Statement Piece for Any Room
The design of the Samsung 98-Inch Class 4K Crystal UHD DU9000 is as impressive as its performance. This model features a sleek and modern aesthetic, with a minimalistic bezel that maximizes the screen size while maintaining a sophisticated look. The ultra-slim profile allows it to fit seamlessly into any home decor, whether mounted on a wall or placed on a media console. The sturdy build quality ensures that it can withstand the test of time, making it a worthwhile investment for your home entertainment setup.
One notable aspect of the design is the cable management system, which helps keep wires organized and out of sight. This feature is particularly beneficial for larger televisions, where multiple cables can create a cluttered appearance. The stand is robust and provides excellent stability, ensuring that the TV remains secure, even in high-traffic areas.
In terms of dimensions, the Samsung UN98DU9000 measures approximately 86.6 x 49.3 x 3.9 inches without the stand, making it essential to consider your space before purchase. This TV is best suited for large living rooms or dedicated home theater spaces where its size can be fully appreciated. The viewing angles are impressive, allowing for a great experience from various positions in the room, thanks to Samsung's advanced panel technology.
When compared to competitors like the LG NanoCell and Sony X950H, the Samsung's design holds its own. While the LG model offers vibrant colors with its NanoCell technology, the Samsung's superior audio capabilities and sleek aesthetics make it a compelling choice for those who prioritize sound quality alongside visual performance. The Sony model, while also aesthetically pleasing, may not offer the same level of immersive audio experience as the Samsung DU9000.
Overall, the design and build quality of the Samsung 98-Inch Class 4K Crystal UHD DU9000 Series HDR Smart TV make it a standout option in the market. Its combination of modern aesthetics, robust construction, and practical features ensure that it not only looks great in your home but also performs exceptionally well.
Display Performance: Stunning Visuals with Advanced Technology
The display performance of the Samsung 98-Inch Class 4K Crystal UHD DU9000 Series HDR Smart TV is one of its most impressive features. With a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, this television delivers stunning clarity and detail, making it ideal for watching high-definition content. The 4K Crystal UHD technology enhances color accuracy and brightness, resulting in vibrant images that pop off the screen.
HDR (High Dynamic Range) support is another significant advantage of this model. HDR content provides a wider color gamut and improved contrast, allowing for more realistic and lifelike images. The Mega Contrast feature further enhances the dynamic range, ensuring that dark scenes are rich and detailed while bright scenes remain vivid. This is particularly beneficial for watching movies and shows with varying lighting conditions, as it helps maintain detail in both shadows and highlights.
Motion handling is another critical aspect of display performance, and the Motion Xcelerator technology in the DU9000 Series excels in this area. With a refresh rate of 120Hz, fast-moving scenes are rendered smoothly, reducing motion blur and enhancing clarity during action sequences. This feature is particularly advantageous for sports fans and gamers, as it ensures that every frame is displayed crisply and clearly.
In comparison to similar models, such as the LG 98-Inch NanoCell and the Sony X950H, the Samsung DU9000 stands out with its superior motion handling and HDR performance. While the LG model offers impressive color reproduction, the Samsung's combination of Motion Xcelerator and Mega Contrast provides a more immersive viewing experience, especially for action-packed content. The Sony model, while known for its excellent picture quality, may not match the Samsung's performance in fast-paced scenarios.
When it comes to real-world usage, users can expect the Samsung UN98DU9000 to perform exceptionally well across various types of content. Whether you're streaming your favorite series, watching the latest blockbuster, or playing video games, the display delivers a consistently high-quality experience. The TV's ability to upscale lower-resolution content also ensures that everything you watch looks great, making it a versatile choice for any home entertainment setup.
Audio Performance: Immersive Sound with Object Tracking Technology
The audio performance of the Samsung 98-Inch Class 4K Crystal UHD DU9000 Series HDR Smart TV is where it truly shines, thanks to the Object Tracking Sound Lite technology. This feature utilizes multiple speakers embedded within the TV to create a three-dimensional sound experience that enhances the overall immersion of your viewing experience. As action moves across the screen, the sound follows, making it feel as though you are in the middle of the action.
In addition to Object Tracking Sound Lite, the TV also features a built-in subwoofer, which adds depth to the audio experience by delivering rich bass. This is particularly beneficial for action movies and music performances, where low-frequency sounds play a crucial role in creating an engaging atmosphere. The overall sound quality is impressive, providing clear dialogue and robust sound effects that make every viewing session enjoyable.
When compared to other models, such as the LG NanoCell and Sony X950H, the Samsung DU9000's audio performance stands out. While the LG model offers decent sound quality, it may not provide the same level of immersion as the Samsung's Object Tracking Sound Lite. The Sony model, while known for its excellent audio capabilities, often requires additional sound systems to achieve a similar level of immersion, making the Samsung a more convenient option for those looking for a complete package.
For real-world usage, the audio performance of the Samsung UN98DU9000 is well-suited for various scenarios. Whether you're watching a movie, playing video games, or streaming music, the sound quality remains consistently high.
